EHRI-UK National Research Fellowships

The EHRI-UK National Research Fellowship Programme is designed to support and stimulate Holocaust research conducted by researchers, archivists, librarians, curators, and early career scholars, especially PhD candidates with limited resources, based at institutions in the United Kingdom and British Isles. It considers projects within the Holocaust broadly conceived, including its prehistory, its aftermath, and the role of antisemitism before, during and after World War II.  EHRI-UK Research Fellowships cover a stipend for travel, accommodation and subsistence for access lasting between 1 and 4 weeks at one of the following host institutions:

· The Wiener Holocaust Library (London)

· Holocaust Centre North (Huddersfield)

· The National Archives (London)

· The Imperial War Museum (London)

Other host institutions will be added in the future.

SWWHPP

We are a proud member of the Second World War and Holocaust Partnership Project (SWWHPP), an incredible initiative, funded generously by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and led by Imperial War Museums.

From 2020 to 2023 this project creates awareness around WW2 and Holocaust narratives around the UK, supporting digital and community-based events co-produced with  local people and creative artists.

MA Holocaust and Genocide Studies

The Holocaust and Genocide Studies taught MA programme at the University of Huddersfield is set up to analyse and discuss the Holocaust and other genocides, with a particular eye to cultural representations and the impact of historic genocides on current international legislation and conflict resolution.

The course is co-taught by scholars from the History and Literature divisions. The partnership with the Holocaust  Centre North represents a unique proposition to study the Holocaust in conjunction with archival and exhibition practice.
