Nazir Afzal OBE is a former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England, and previously director of Crown Prosecution Service in London West. He was also Chief Executive of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners. During a 30-year career, Nazir has prosecuted some of the most high profile cases in the country.
Martin Kapel reached Britain on a Kindertransport train to Coventry, where he was fostered by an English family. Tragically, not one of Martin’s 22 Polish relatives survived.
