Antisemitism

Prejudice or hostility against people of the Jewish faith. Coined in the 19th century, this term reflects broader pseudo-scientific beliefs regarding race, biological ‘progress’ and evolution. Although Jewish communities have been targeted and discriminated against for thousands of years, antisemitism during the Holocaust included targeting Jews for their perceived racial inferiority, supposed economic role in controlling global finances, and other accusations against their religious activities (ex. Christ-killers).
